Mom & Dad of this bunch..........

DeAnna : {A.K.A. "LadySarge"}

I am the Mama around these parts!! I am 33 years old and have been married to Sarge for 17 years .

What do I do with my free time ?? Well-let's see. A few of my hobbies are : driving , Rottweiler rescue, sewing, cooking & cleaning, camping, hiking, fishing, playing pool ,crafts and working on cars with hubby. I LOVE the outdoors and all our animals. Anything that has to do with nature is perfect for me. I've recently applied to have our property certified by the National Wildlife Federation as a BACKYARD WILDLIFE HABITAT. We have an abundance of wildlife here and we enforce a "DON'T KILL IT -UNLESS YOU EAT IT" policy. We always try to re-locate problem wild animals {such as rattlesnakes}, FIRST !

I am a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to cleaning & often drive my family crazy. LOL. My all time favorite thing in the world is being a mama.

In October 1999, I decided to go back to finish my High School education. See--I dropped out after 2 weeks in the10th grade. . So-there I was, a wife for 11 years and a mama of 4 small kids--going back to school! Geez! It was far from easy! I opted to go back & finish through a correspondance school--instead of taking the GED. Now--I'm NOT knocking the GED . I just wanted to get the FULL benefits . If I was gonna do this --I wanted to do it right . I had a ball with it and soon learned---I quit paying attention at school waaaaaaaay before I quit. LOL. I officially became a HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE on August 30, 2000!!! Oh..I'm so glad that I opted to finish my schooling. Now, I'm preparing to forge ahead and take a few college courses. There is NO stopping me now!

I was a Girl Scout Troop Leader for over 5 years & currently am serving as Cookie Chairperson and Service Unit Manager for our County. It's full of adventure & challenges but I Love it!

I am also enrolled in an Auto Tech. course since I work w/ hubby on cars I figured I might as well get certified.

We've battled ALOT of health issues. Both of our boys have Asthma and require alot of medication. They've really come far. Both of our daughters wear glasses ; one has had eye surgery. As far as myself, As a child, I was diagnosed with Congenital Dislocated Hip and required several surgeries. In 1993, when I was 5 mths pregnant w/ our 2nd child, I developed Pulmonary Embolism and pneumonia.I ended up in ICU and nearly died. Due to this, I was required to take a shot of Heparin {blood thinner} 3 X day. I finally stopped the shots in October 1996. A few weeks later, I went a few rounds w/ cancer that required a hysterectomy. A week later, I was diagnosed w/ a hematoma which ruptured & required several units of blood. I've faced alot of serious health related issues but I don't let it get me down. I'm grateful for each day that I have w/ my family and friends.

I'M PRETTY SURE I FORGOT SOMETHING. OH-WELL.......CATCH IT NEXT TIME-HUH? SO, I SUPPOSE YOU NOW HAVE A PRETTY GOOD IDEA OF WHO I AM AND WHAT I'M ALL ABOUT. STICK AROUND AND ENJOY THE PAGE!! MY FAMILY IS FAR MORE INTERESTING THAN I AM..{haha}

Of course , you can tell by looking around that Miss Fancy is the Love of my life ! I wont mention her here ....you can read all about her by following the links. HOPE YOU ENJOY YOURSELF while visiting us here

**UPDATE**

I COMPLETED MY STUDIES & AM CURRENTLY WORKING ALONGSIDE HUBBY AS A CERTIFIED AUTO TECH. IT WAS ALOT OF HARD WORK BUT WELL WORTH IT. I HAVE RETIRED FROM THE GIRL SCOUTING PROGRAM WITH A TOTAL OF OVER 15 YRS OF SERVICE.

I AM CURRENTLY LEARNING HOW TO DRIVE A BOAT. HUBBY BOUGHT ME A 1973 JON BOAT WITH A 9.5 hp EVINRUDE, SO IT DON'T GO TOO FAST. I PURCHASED A 1965 RANGER & PUT MY 9.5 ON IT CAUSE THE LITTLE BOAT WAS A BIT TOO UNSTABLE FOR ME & THE GIRLS JUST LEARNING.

SSG Terry, Charles F. : {A.K.A. "Sarge"}

Allow me to introduce you to my dear husband .
He is the Daddy of this crowd.Sarge is 39 and has been a Mechanic for over 20 years. He can tear down & repair ANYthing! So-for all the years we've been married--this is what he does as a job AND as a hobby. It is a GOOD thing, though. We never have to worry with getting ripped off at the local service station. LOL.
Sarge has been in the National Guard for over 16 years. I guess he will stay there until they put him out. He enjoys it and really believes in defending our country. At times, it is hard on the family, but we always manage to survive until he returns.
In 2000, he decided to help out with our oldest sons' Webelo Cub Scout troop.I was very glad of this ! Participating in the Scouts is a great way to spend some good quality time with his son. They both seemed to have fun and learn something.
Sarge is a very good daddy and works extremely hard to take care of his family. He is a bit old fashioned though. I guess that comes from being raised by his great-grandparents. I'm not complaining though.
WELL, anyway...that's basically his life in a nutshell.
******UPDATE ******
Sarge was selected to go to Bosnia, as part of the SFOR10 Rotation. He is always ready to do his part to serve & protect ..to ensure the future is safe for us all. For privacy/security reasons, I'll not provide any details on this here.
If you are wife,husband, child,mother, cousin, friend...ANY part of a Soldiers life & you ever find yourself in need of a friend..please feel free to contact me. I have an online support group where we get together to talk over issues with people that are in the same situation.
My husband was gone for a fairly long time & I may not always understand WHY, but I try to do my best to show him I Love him dearly & support him 200% !
God Bless each & every one.

**UPDATE** AFTER BEING AWAY FROM HOME FOR NEARLY 2 YRS (SERVING IN IRAQ), SARGE IS BACK HOME. HOPEFULLY FOR GOOD THIS TIME. SARGE HAS RETIRED FROM THE MS NATIONAL GUARD-WITH OVER 20 YEARS IN.FINALLY - WE CAN KEEP HIM HOME NOW.**
